Melissa joined our team August of 2013. She is a NH native, growing up in Keene, NH.  She graduated from Keene State College in 2009 with a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Management. She received her Associates in Dental Hygiene in 2012 from NHTI in Concord, NH. While studying to attain her degrees, she gained years of experience in dentistry though dental assisting in Keene NH. Melissa has worked in both general and specialty practices which has provided her with in-depth experience with treatment for periodontal patients, along with special needs patients. She is certified to administer local anesthesia and subgingival soft tissue treatment in periodontal pockets. Melissa continues to take courses in all aspects of dental care so as to ensure our patients achieve a lifetime of healthy smiles.  Having her dental assisting, front desk and clinical experience, she is able to be an advocate for patients care along with assisting in the management side of practice. What Melissa says she enjoys the most about her job is, “I enjoy dental hygiene tremendously, it’s a very rewarding career.  Providing care, seeing oral health improve and hearing patients say they enjoy coming in- that’s the goal. Having the ability to make each day run as smooth as possible is a great privilege. Every day is different. Our team has the same goal, to provide the best patient care and experience.  I’ve been with Dr. Hillery for 11 years now, and each year brings more fulfillment by facilitating patient happiness.”

In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and running around after their young children- three boys!  She enjoys exercising, family outings, trips to the beach, date nights and playing with their rescue dog, aka RemDog.
